I am a certified Teacher with the MTNA, one of few on the west side of Phx., and have had extensive college classes in Theory, Counterpoint, and Composition. I also have experience in arranging, and one of my arrangements was chosen for the retirement Recital of Dr. David Smart (my teacher) at Moody Bible Institute, in Chicago, in 1995. I have also arranged other hymn-classical solos for piano. I taught for 4 years before moving to AZ. I taught the adult group class for the Sun City Piano Club for 2 years. I'm presently teaching children, age 5-adults, both beginners and advanced. I emphasize practical ways to
practice, exploration, creativity and artistry,
and building self-esteem. |
