The Rostron Piano Studio

Weekly private lessons are for all ages, all levels – from age 6 to adults, beginner to professional level.  Students have the opportunity to move at their own pace, learning not just how to play particular pieces, but how to hone particular skills that will serve them in playing any style of music.  Emphasis is on musicality – beauty of tone, phrasing, and rhythmic vitality.  For school-aged students, there are many performance opportunities.

Musicianship Class for Adults and Teens - new this year!  Monthly experiential class incorporating performance, listening and rhythm riffing.  Open to anyone, whether in private lessons or not, any instrument or voice.  Fee is only $10 per class. For students enrolled in private lessons at The Rostron Piano Studio, classes are FREE.  Musicianship Classes are held the 4th Monday of every month, 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the studio.  Call 602-482-1438 to sign up.

"Peggy is an amazing teacher. She is patient and understanding with her students. Her students learn a lot about music, not just how to play beautifully, but theory and technique, also. They learn how and why to play a piece a certain way, too, instead of just learning it. Peggy really is
wonderful."   ~ Amy, 12-yr.-old student

"Our 17-year-old daughter, Katryn, has studied piano with Ms. Peggy Rostron for a little over a year. During this time her technique has improved tremendously, allowing her to play the more difficult passages with greater ease and musicality. We are very grateful to Peggy for her gentle tenacity, and insistence on attention to detail, which has resulted in more refinement and nuance in Katie's playing."   ~ Patti and David, parents of student

"Peggy is a wealth of information on fundamental instrumental study methods and understanding music. Even though I have 45 years of professional experience as a musician and composer, I find that I regularly draw on the insights and guidance I received while studying piano with Peggy."   ~ Frank, adult student
